Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:45 PM

Today's Estimate Sales Volume:  none

   Trading was light to mostly inactive in the majors feeding areas on Thursday.
   Trading in the Southern Plains Wednesday had live sales mostly steady at 
122.00. In Nebraska dressed sales were 1.00 to 2.00 higher at 195.00, with 
live sales .50 to 1.00 higher at 122.00-123.50. Dressed sales in Iowa are at
194.00-195.00.
    Cattle slaughter for Thursday was estimated at 124,000. Boxed Beef
values were called weak to lower on light to moderate demand and moderate
to heavy offerings, with 228 loads traded.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and 
more frequently during active trading periods.
