Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:25 PM

Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 25,000
 
   Trading is moderate in Nebraska on moderate demand.  Compared to last
week, dressed sales are steady to 2.00 lower at 192.00-194.00, with
early live sales at 121.50-122.00. Few live sales in Colorado have traded
at 122.00, and dressed sales in Iowa have traded at 193.00-194.00. Trading 
remains inactive in the Southern Plains.
   Cattle slaughter for Friday was estimated at 126,000, with 16,000 for
Saturday, and a weekly total of 639,000. Boxed beef cut-out values were
called lower on light demand and light to moderate offerings. Choice
closed down .82 at 189.10, and Select closed down .81 at 183.05 on 159
total loads.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and 
more frequently during active trading periods.
