Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:20 PM
Today’s Reported Sales Volume: 13,000
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 36,000
Trading was light to moderate on light demand in Kansas Friday. Compared to
last week, live sales were 1.00 lower at 124.00. Trading is moderate in
Nebraska on light to moderate demand. Early live sales in the West are at
124.00, with dressed sales in Central and Eastern Nebraska trending 3.00 to
4.00 lower than last week at 196.00-198.00. Few dressed sales have traded in
Iowa at 197.00-198.00. Trading remains inactive in all other areas.
Cattle slaughter for Friday was estimated at 119,000 and 24,000 on
Saturday for a weekly total of 639,000. Boxed beef values were called
lower on light demand and light to moderate offerings. Choice closed down
1.18 at 192.95 and Select closed down 1.31 at 172.39 on 150 total loads.

and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
