Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:50 PM
Today's Reported Sales Volume: 12,000
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 18,000
Trading is light in Kansas on light to moderate trading. Compared to last
week, lives sales sold 2.00 higher at 125.00. Trading is light to moderate
on moderate demand in eastern Nebraska. Compared to last week, dressed sales
sold 2.00 higher at 198.00. Few live sales reported in Nebraska at 124.00 to
125.00. Trading is light in Iowa on light demand. Few live sales reported this
afternoon at 123.00. Trading is inactive in other major feeding regions at
this time as producers pass current bids.
Friday's Boxed beef cutout values steady to firm on moderate to fairly good
demand and moderate offerings. Choice cutouts closed up .54 at 182.89 while
Select cutouts closed down .01 at 180.19 on 170 total loads reported. The
hide and offal value from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at
13.98 per cwt live, up 0.18 when compared to Thursday's value. Estimated
Cattle Slaughter for Friday reported at 103,000 and Saturday at 25,000 for
a weekly total of 573,000.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
