Monday Market Sentiment: industry leaders expect lower cash cattle prices this Week
A survey of cattle-industry leaders suggests the average price for cash cattle will decrease $0.42 to $105.43 per cwt this week. The Monday Market Sentiment is a forecast of the upcoming weekly cash trade (5-Area weighted average price) prices reported by the USDA. This week prices decreased for the first time in the past four weeks. The CattleBoard: Boxed Beef & Carcass Price Reach 27-Day Highs
Boxed beef finishes the week on a 27-day high, increasing by 71 cents to $173.52. The cutter cow cutout also improved. Feeder cattle increase by 5 cents to $126.35 even as corn jumps 3 cents to $6.57.
