Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:05 PM
Today's Reported Sales Volume: 42,000
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 80,000
Trading was moderate in the Texas Panhandle Friday on moderate demand. Compared
to last week, live sales were mostly 1.00 higher at 120.00. Trading was
moderate to active in Kansas on moderate to good demand. Compared to last
week, live sales were mostly steady at 120.00. Trading is moderate to active
in Nebraska on moderate to good demand. Compared to last week, live sales
are steady to 1.00 higher with sales ranging from 120.00 to mostly 123.00,
and dressed sales are steady to firm at 192.00-195.00, mostly 194.00. Few
live sales in Colorado are 2.00 to 3.00 higher at 123.00. Live sales in Iowa
are 1.00-2.00 higher at 121.00-122.00, with dressed sales mostly steady at
194.00.
Cattle slaughter for Friday was estimated at 123,000, and 10,000 for Saturday,
for a weekly total of 623,000. Boxed Beef values were called weak on light
to moderate demand and offerings. Choice close down .67 at 190.29 and Select
closed down .79 at 186.11 on 211 total loads.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
