Gustin's Diamond D Gelbvieh is located 11 miles south of Mandan, North Dakota on the west side of Highway 6. They started breeding Gelbvieh cattle in 1982 after having tried several other breeds. They found the cattle performed very well and the Gustin’s were especially impressed with the milking ability and gentle disposition of the breed. After seeing how well the first half bloods produced, they were totally committed to the breed. After 28 years of breeding they now have a totally registered herd of Gelbvieh and Balancer cows.

In the past three years they have become active breeding Gelbvieh Balancer cattle. Gustin’s Diamond D Gelbvieh now offers Balancer bulls and females at their sale, along with their purebred cattle. The performance and overall eye appeal of the Balancer cattle has really made an impression on Gustin’s Diamond D and they plan on continuing with this program.

Gustin’s Diamond D is a member of the North Dakota Gelbvieh Association and the American Gelbvieh Association. The ranch’s annual production sale is approaching on February 17, 2011.
