Centerville, Texas – Authorities with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) are looking for a possible suspect or suspects involved with the shooting of 3 calves alongside FM 831 in Leon County.

According to TSCRA Special Ranger Brent Mast, 2 calves are believed to have been shot early Monday morning. The calves were located on FM 831, south of Buffalo, and approximately 2.5 miles east of Highway 75.

Mast said another calf was found shot in the head in the same area, but that shooting occurred a few days prior. Authorities believe that the 2 shootings are connected.

Anyone with information on the case should contact Mast at (936) 714-9066 or the Leon County Sheriff’s office at (903) 536-2749.
