K-State beef veterinarian Larry Hollis has a word for cow-calf producers with ultra-dry pasture conditions about weaning spring-born beef calves extra early this year. Hollis covers soft weaning methods for very young calves, post-weaning nutrition management for the calf and cow, and the importance of having a marketing plan for those calves prior to early weaning.
