Compared to last week: All classes of domestic alfalfa traded steady to 10.00
higher in a limited test. Demand very good and supply light. Retail and stable hay
traded mostly steady. Demand good and supply very light. Producers continue to
work on very limited inventories. Retail and stable hay is still very hard to find.
Milk prices took a large climb in the latter part of the week leaving many
optimistic on future pricing.

higher. Demand good and supply moderate. Retail and stable hay traded mostly
steady. Demand very good and supply very light. First cutting in many areas is in
progress or nearly completed. Prices are beginning very firm, considering quality.
Many producers noting inconsistency in hay, with little to no concern from buyers
due to a great need for hay. Milk prices are aiding in overall price incline.
Export interest is still prevalent.
