Mild winter weather across much of the United States has made winter chores much easier than normal. And it’s been easy on the cows, too. North Carolina rancher Mike Jones says this winter has been “very warm,” providing maximum benefits from his year-round management-intensive grazing system. He provided this photo of his cows grazing stockpiled forage, and says, “We walk to move the polywire every day. We don’t have to run the tractor to feed hay.” Jones says, “Year-round grazing is possible just about everywhere.”
