Twelve-year-old twins Andrew and Brandon Gould from Montana salvaged a used round feeder to protect the pipes supplying a water tank. After cutting the round feeder in half, they placed it around the hydrant with the ends butting up against the water tank. An earth berm built around the outside of the feeder section holds it in place. This structure keeps cattle from rubbing against the hydrant, protecting it from damage and helping assure a constant flow of water into the tank.
