Administering pills to cattle with a bolus gun that isn’t easily chewed by bulls and larger cattle can be frustrating. But one inventive rancher solved the problem by creating a bolus gun made from PVC pipe. One-inch pipe is used for the outside, and the inside tube is one-half-inch PVC. Multiple pills can be given with this device, and, by taking the inner PVC out, it can be used as a speculum for drenching cattle with a hose when they are dehydrated. This bolus gun is inexpensive, effective and handy to use.
