Prices for steer calves weighing 400 to 500 pounds averaged $112.30 per hundredweight during January, a decline of $5.60 per hundredweight. Yearling steers weighing 600 to 700 pounds declined $1.14 per hun-dredweight to $100.04. Heifer calves weighing 400 to 500 pounds declined $5.17 per hundredweight to $98.94. Yearling heifers weighing more than 600 pounds averaged $86.76 per hundredweight, a decline of $5.69 per hundredweight during January.
