Though USDA reports, including Crop Progress and Friday’s World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, are suspended until further notice, a Reuters poll of analysts indicated that the corn harvest was around 20 percent complete as of Oct. 6.

This puts corn harvest 8 percentage points above last week’s report.

The analysts also pegged soybean harvest at 22 percent, which is double last week’s report of 11 percent. Click here for more.

Yesterday, the USDA announced that it would not release the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report. Even if the federal shutdown were to end, the USDA has up to 10 days of data collection and analysis to perform before it can estimate the size of the fall-harvest crops.

No new date for the reports has been announced. Read more here.
