During the coming months, Waupun-based East Central/Select Sires is conducting several artificial-insemination (A.I.)-training classes.

“The sessions are all three-day classes, and we’re offering five different locations,” noted John Gerbitz, products and training manager with East Central/Select Sires. “Day one is classroom training and days two and three are hands on with cows – students must attend all three days of training.”

The first session is Feb. 24-26, 2015, at Abel Dairy in Eden. March 3-5 begins at Hampton Inn, Elkhorn; March 16-18 starts at the Best Western, Dodgeville; March 30-April 1 will begin at the Comfort Inn & Suites, DeForest; and, finally, April 8-10 starts at the Leon Community Center, Sparta (Leon). “Some of the training sessions are scheduled during various spring breaks,” added Gerbitz.
