September stocker and feeder prices followed August’s rally with a 12% decline, erasing the previous month’s gains plus 4%.

Buyers were less aggressive as fed cattle prices slumped and feedyard losses mounted.

The fundamentals of softer grain prices and abundant grazing continue to suggest support for feeder cattle, but the expected fall rally has yet to materialize.
