The checkoff’s safety research program has released 10 new project summaries online for recently completed research. Safety continues to be one of the key demand drivers for beef. To meet consumer expectations, the beef industry must continue to improve the real and perceived safety of beef products. This research focused on generating original, scientific-evidence to understand the development of antimicrobial-resistance prevention reductions of E. coli and Salmonella, and reports that provide a better understanding of Salmonella in the pre-harvest environment.
