Auction Report for Wednesday, December 17, 2014



Receipts:  476   Last Sale:  914   Last Year:  449  

     

   Compared to last week, Dairy cows sold mostly Steady to

100.00 higher compared to last week. Demand was moderate.

Bred heifers sold mostly steady. Demand was moderate. Trend

not established for heifers. Wednesday's supply included

191 fresh milking cows, 13 springing cows, 14 short bred

cows, 61 springing heifers, 58 short bred heifers, 97 open 

heifers, and 20 bulls. One hundred percent of

reported supply Holsteins unless otherwise noted.

All sales sold on a per head basis.

                    

Fresh Cows: 

Supreme:  2800.00-3400.00

Approved: 2200.00-2700.00

Medium:   1750.00-2100.00                         

Common:   1150.00-1650.00

 

Springing Cows: (7-9 months):         

Approved: 1800.00-2000.00

Medium:   1400.00-1650.00

   

Bred Cows: (4-6 months):

Medium:   1400.00-1600.00

                                     

Springing Heifers: (7-9 months):
