   Compared to last week, fresh cows and bred heifers sold significantly 

lower this week. Demand has been light in the face falling milk prices. ady. 

Demand was moderate. Trend not established for heifers. Wednesday's supply 

included 219 fresh milking cows, 18 springing cows, 40 short bred cows, 79 

springing heifers, 82 short bred heifers, 81 open heifers, and 09 bulls. One 

hundred percent of reported supply Holsteins unless otherwise noted. All 

sales sold on a per head basis.

                    

Fresh Cows: 

Supreme:  2200.00-2600.00

Approved: 1750.00-2250.00

Medium:   1400.00-1800.00                         

Common:   1150.00-1400.00

 

Short Bred Cows: (1-3 months)

Approved: 1550.00-1950.00

Medium:   1400.00-1650.00

Common:   1200.00-1400.00



Springing Heifers: (7-9 months):     

Supreme:  1925.00-2400.00

Approved: 1600.00-1900.00

Medium:   1200.00-1500.00

Common:    950.00-1200.00
