Raymond Adams, 78, of Maple Hill passed away yesterday at his home. The fourth-generation cattleman owned and operated ranches, along with his family, at Maple Hill and Plains.

Adams was a 55-year KLA member. He also was a founding member of U.S. Premium Beef. Adams served on the boards of directors for the Kansas State University Livestock and Meat Industry Council and the National Cowboy Hall of Fame.

“Raymond was a humble gentleman and a great KLA member,” said KLA Executive Vice President Dee Likes. “He personified the character, the wisdom and the vision that makes the ranching industry great.”

Memorial services are pending. The details will be announced in KLA Today when the information becomes available.
