Dale Grotelueschen, DVM, MS, has long served the beef industry as a practitioner, industry veterinarian with Zoetis (then Pfizer Animal Health) and in academics. He currently serves as director of the University of Nebraska’s Great Plains Veterinary Education Center.

During last week’s American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) annual conference in Charlotte, N.C., the group honored Dr. Grotelueschen with the group’s annual Award of Excellence. The AABP Board of Directors selected Grotelueschen based on his years of service to veterinarians and beef producers, including extensive work on BVD control, Integrated Resource Management (IRM), Beef Quality Assurance (BQA), animal stewardship and the Sandhills Calving System for reducing calf scours.
