Wednesday morning, both beef and pork were trading lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Dec live cattle was .95 cents lower, hitting $1.6297 a pound. Nov feeder cattle dropped 3 cents, coming in at $2.3415 per pound. Dec lean hogs fell 2.67 cents down to $.9225 a pound, the Associated Press reported.

Grain futures were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade. Dec corn was 1 cent higher, coming in at $3.58 a bushel. Wheat for Dec delivery came in at $5.0425, down 5 cents. While Dec oats stayed constant at #3.4525 a bushel, Nov soybeans gained 4.25 cents, hitting $9.69 a bushel.
