In light of China lifting its ban on importing U.S. beef in September, the country has become fastest growing beef import market. Through July, China’s 2016 imports are 48% higher than last year in volume and up 37% in value.
With one-fifth of the world population residing in China, it’s no wonder that the country presents a great amount of buying power. With a middle class populations that is larger than the entire U.S. population, China is poised to become the prime place to sell beef.
