One cow from Gilbertson Farms gave owners Greg Gilbertson and his son Brent quite a surprise this week with the birth of triplets. The farm, which hosts 70 breeding cows and four bulls in northwest Minnesota, has been around for 32 years, reports the Bismarck Tribune.

Though some cows who produce multiples will have trouble bonding with the ones after the first, Greg Gilbertson told the Bismarck Tribune of this cow, "She recognizes them all, she knows they're all hers, and she takes care of them all."

Gilbertson says "they might only weight 400 pounds instead of 500 or 600 pounds when sold in May, but that's still $3,000 worth of cows."
