The Missouri Livestock Symposium will induct Bruce Lane into the Missouri Livestock Symposium’s Livestock Person of the Year Hall of Fame on Dec. 5. He will be the 12th person to be given the honor.

The award is given to a person who has “made a significant contribution to the livestock industry in northeast Missouri,” Danielle Brown reported for the Kirksville Daily Express.

Lane has received other awards throughout his career, including the Friend of 4-H Award and the Missouri Beef Improvement Association Award. He has worked for both the University of California Cooperative Extension and the University of Missouri Extension Center as a livestock farm advisor and livestock specialist, respectively.
