Six head of cattle were killed when a semi-truck hauling 86 head of cattle crashed on the evening of Nov. 22 on Interstate 15-90 between Butte and Rocker, Mont.

The driver of the truck mistakenly thought an exit was the interstate and jerked the wheel to get the truck back on the interstate. The cattle shifted, and caused the truck and trailer to tip, the Associated Press reported. The driver was cited for reckless driving.

Traffic was re-routed for hours while people on hourseback rounded up the escaped cattle. One cow was hit by a truck in the process.
