Cattle producers in South Dakota have the opportunity to donate to the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation in a special new way.
Tomorrow, the foundation plans to sponsor a cattle sale as a kick-off for the "Cattle for Cancer" program. The program allows cattle producers to donate money for cancer prevention and medical care, Marcus Traxler reported for the Mitchell Daily Republic.
The president of the Avera Queen of Peace Foundation said the foundation plans to use the donations for cancer care at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, but some of the donations might also go to Avera Medical Group clinics in other South Dakota towns or to other care programs, such as prenatal and diabetic.
The sale will start at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Livestock sale barn in Mitchell, South Dakota.
