Miss Patty Melt was spotted at the CBS radio station with 94.7 Fresh FM hosts, Friday morning to kick off the Marine Corps Marathon weekend festivities.

Twenty-seven runners, sponsored by the beef checkoff’s Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative, took to the streets of Washington, DC, on Oct. 26 fueled by beef along with 30,000 others who participated in the 39th running of the Marine Corps Marathon. Members of Team Beef received nutritional education on how best to incorporate lean beef into their diet during training, as well as a running jersey to wear during the race for moral support on the course.

“We are so proud of our MCM Team Beef runners,” says Jennifer Orr of the Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative. “It was great to be able to bring together so many people from all across the country who understand that lean beef is an invaluable component in their diet regimens to help with weight management and muscle development.”
