After a slip across the board on Friday, beef prices are seeing a jump on Monday. Choice boxed beef prices jumped from $250.43 on Friday to $252.50 on Monday, a $2.07 change. The 27-day average has now settled at $247.12. Select boxed beef saw an even higher raise, soaring $2.66 to hit $249.28 on Monday.
Primal choice flank saw a huge raise of $7.23 on Monday, hitting $139.58 from $132.35 on Friday. This brought the primal choice flank 27-day average to $130.63. While primal choice flank fared the best, primal choice rib, primal choice brisket and primal choice loin each saw large rises of their own, jumping by $4.79, $4.30, and $4.27, respectively. The only loss on Monday was primal choice round, with a $1.33 drop to $221.83.
