Retail gasoline prices dropped an average of 3 cents across the U.S. this week. Prices averaged $2.32 to start April. The 27-day average price fell to $2.49.
The Midwest region saw the largest price decrease this week, as gas prices fell 6 cents in the region. Prices fell to an average $2.27, the second lowest in the country this week. The Gulf Coast region has the lowest prices in the country, with gas prices averaging $2.17. Prices dropped only a penny this week, however.
Ohio saw the largest price drop as a state this week as gas prices fell 17 cents to $2.23. Cleveland saw the largest decrease in gas prices as a city as prices fell 13 cents to $2.25.
