Retail gasoline prices across the U.S. continue to fall. Overall, prices have decreased another 7 cents this week. The fall continues the decline in gas prices that U.S. has been experiencing since the end of August. This week's drop has brought the 27-week average to $3.02.
This week, the Rocky Mountain, West Coast and Central Atlantic regions all saw 13 cents drops, the largest across the nation. The Midwest saw the smallest decrease with gas prices only dropping 2 cents. The Gulf Coast currently has the lowest retail gas prices at $1.93.
As far as states are concerned, New York saw the largest drop in gas prices with a 14 cent drop in prices, however, prices are still at $2.59. Ohio saw an 11 cent increase in prices, bringing gas prices back up to $1.98.
