The average price for gasoline across the U.S. is now $2.36. Prices rose 10 cents over the last week to start March with the highest prices the U.S. has seen in a month and a half. The 27-week average price is now $2.68.
The West Coast can't seem to catch a break in recent weeks. Again this week, the West Coast has seen the largest jump in prices. Prices increased 23 cents to $2.68, the highest prices across the U.S. this week. All other regions saw increases between 8 and 10 cents.
Prices in Washington state lept this week, jumping 28 cents to $2.66. The state saw the largest state increase this week. Minnesota's gas prices rose 16 cents to $2.42.
Seattle saw a large jump in gas prices this week. Prices gained 34 cents to $2.87.
