Live cattle prices gained 25 cents on Friday, hitting $154.45 to end the week. The small gain landed the 27-day average at $161.65. While live cattle saw a price increase, feeder cattle prices didn't fare so well. Continuing the fall, feeder cattle prices dropped another $1.55 on Friday, hitting $214.10 from Thursday's $215.65. The 27-day average price for feeder cattle is now $220.32.
Lean hog prices fell again, landing at $74.50 to end the week, seeing a $1.13 drop. The 27-day average now sits at $80.21.
Corn prices saw a 7 cent gain on Friday, while wheat was unchanged from Thursday's $5.33. Corn prices ended the week at $3.87.
