For the last week, cattle prices have been volatile. On Tuesday, cattle prices are back up after dropping on Monday. Live cattle prices are up 75 cents, bringing the price to $154.75. The 27-day average price is now $156.19. Feeder cattle prices jumped $2.53 on Tuesday. Prices hit $212.23, bringing the 27-day average price to $202.07.
Lean hog prices continued to drop on Tuesday, with prices falling another 10 cents. Prices fell below $66 to $65.98, bringing the 27-day average price to $65.69.
Crop prices were mostly down on Tuesday. Corn prices fell a penny to $3.82. Soybean prices fell 8 cents to $9.80. Wheat was the exception on Tuesday. Wheat prices gained 3 cents to $4.97.
