Feeder and live cattle prices both saw a jump from Wednesday to Thursday. Live cattle increased from $158.35 to $161.13 on Thursday. This $2.78 jump put the 27-day average at $156.02. Feeder cattle fared even better, rising $3.32 on Thursday to settle at $200.30. The 27-day average jumped to $203.36.
Lean hogs saw a dip of about $2.18, with the price Thursday rounding out to $67.15. The 27-day average saw a slight decrease to $66.70.
Crop prices rose slightly, with corn and wheat raising 4 and 5 cents respectively. Soybeans had a jump of 16 cents, bringing the Thursday price to $10.24.
