Live cattle prices saw an incredibly large drop on Thursday, falling from $160.80 on Wednesday to $149.70. This $11.10 drop brings the 27-day average price to $160.13. Feeder cattle prices saw a less dramatic fall, hitting $212.98 after a $3.55 drop. The 27-day average for feeder cattle is now $215.89.
Lean hogs did better, rising 23 cents to hit $81.43.
Crop prices fell. Wheat and soy saw the highest drops at ten cents. Thursday wheat prices were at $4.67 and soybean prices were at $9.79. Corn only fell once cent to $3.63.
