Live cattle prices fell Wednesday, ending the price increase streak that they had been on since late last week. Prices fell 50 cents to $158.60. The 27-day average price landed at $156.07. Feeder cattle prices took another substantial hit on Wednesday, fallling another $3.28. Feeder cattle prices slipped back under $200 at $198.75. The 27-day average price fell to $211.38.
Lean hog prices dipped again on Wednesday after seeing a small increase on Tuesday. Prices dropped 30 cents to $61.23. The 27-day average price dipped again and fell to $70.75.
Crop prices were mixed Wednesday. Corn prices fell 2 cents on Wednesday, but wheat and soybeans both saw small gains. Wheat prices gained 4 cents to $5.26. Soybean prices are back up to $9.78 after a 9 cent increase.
