Live cattle prices rose again after a slight dip on Monday to hit $156.30. This 95 cent jump brought the 27-day average price to $159.92. Feeder cattle prices saw a similar rise of 82 cents, reaching $212.65 on Tuesday for a 27-day average price of $215.86.
Lean hogs fared the best this week, jumping from $75.53 on Monday to $77.60 on Tuesday. This $2.07 increase brought the 27-day average price to $64.14.
Crop prices were mixed, with corn and soybeans both down. Corn saw a five-cent fall on Tuesday, hitting $3.73. Soybeans only decreased three cents to $9.75, bringing the 27-day average to $9.71. However, wheat was on the rise with a two cent increase from $4.99 on Monday.
