Both live and feeder cattle prices are up on Monday, after live cattle prices took a nose dive and dropped more than $9 on Friday. Live cattle prices are up $1.75 to $153.45. The 27-day average price landed at $155.95. Feeder cattle prices increased $2.20 to $204.10 The 27-day average price rose to $202.41.
Lean hog prices gained 20 cents on Monday. Prices rose to $67.68. The 27-day average price is now $66.38.
While livestock prices are up, crop prices are down to start the week. Corn prices fell 6 cents to $3.79, while wheat prices fell 10 cents to $5.08. Soybean prices dropped 20 cents to $10.11.
