U.S. diesel prices are still dropping, falling another 7 cents this week, landing at $2.87 on Monday. The 27-week average is still higher, sitting at $3.58.
The Midwest region saw the biggest drop in diesel prices this week, with a 9 cent drop in prices to bring the price down to $2.80, second lowest only to the Gulf Coast region. The Gulf Coast region, which saw a 6 cent drop in diesel prices this week, has the lowest diesel prices with $2.79.
The East Coast, New England, Central Atlantic and Lower Atlantic regions all saw a 5 cent drop in prices.
California still has the highest diesel prices, however, prices dropped 8 cents on Monday in the state, down to $3.09. The Central Atlantic region has the second highest prices with diesel at $3.08.
