The United States diesel price rose an average of two cents during the Labor Day week to hit $2.53. The 27-day average price is now at $2.79. Both the East Coast and Central Atlantic regions saw no change this week, while the New England region was the only one that saw a fall of one cent. The largest increase this week was in the Midwest region with a four-cent increase to hit $2.48. The highest retail diesel prices continue to be on the West Coast at $2.75.
