Like gasoline prices across the U.S., diesel prices are also still dropping. Monday saw an average 8 cent drop across the U.S., with the Rocky Mountain region seeing the most significant drop in prices, falling 11 cents. This week's 8 cent drops bring the U.S. 27-week average to $3.65.
The Rocky Mountain region's 11 cent diesel price decrease brought prices to $3.03 in the region on Monday. The 27-week average for that region is now $3.71. The Central Atlantic region saw the smallest price decreases this week, but still saw a 6 cent drop, bringing diesels prices to $3.24 from $3.30 on Jan. 5.
