U.S. gas prices fell seven cents this week to $2.34, bringing the 27-day average price to $2.53. The largest fall happened in the Midwest region, where retail gas saw a 12-cent drop to $2.31, while the West Coast fell six cents and the Gulf Coast and Lower Atlantic dropped five. 

The Central Atlantic region was the only region that saw an increase of only one cent, while the New England region saw no change.

Ohio saw a 22-cent decrease to $2.13-- the next highest state decrease was in Colorado, with eight cents. New York saw the smallest drop of only three cents.
