Retail gas prices rose in the U.S. by an average of three cents, bringing the United States average prices to $2.55 this week. This brought the 27-week average price of retail gas to $2.37.  

The Rocky Mountain region had the largest increase in gas prices of seven cents to hit $2.63 this week. The West Coast region continues to have the highest retail gas prices of $2.99, with the Central Atlantic region close behind at $2.78.

Colorado saw a six cent increase this week, the largest of the states, while the smallest increase came from Ohio with only a one cent increase. Washington state tontinues to have the highest retail gas prices.
