Retail gas prices went up throughout the country this week, with the average price in the U.S. raising by six cents. The West Coast region saw the highest jump, hitting $2.81 after a ten cent increase. This jump brought the 27-week average price to $2.71.

 The East Coast, Gulf Coast and Lower Atlantic regions all saw seven cent increases this week. The lowest increase was in the Midwest region with a four cent increase to hit $2.41.
