US retail gas prices rose an average of 10 cents this week, jumping to $2.61. The 27-week average price is now at $2.51. The Midwest region saw the largest climb of 28 cents, hitting $2.74. The Rocky Mountain region had a four-cent increase to $2.84.
The Central Atlantic region saw the largest decrease of four cents to $2.63, while the East Coast region fell three cents.
Ohio jumped 42 cents this week, hitting $2.85 and bringing the 27-day average price to $2.52. The next largest increase was Minnesota, jumping from $2.46 to $2.71.
