Retail gas prices across the U.S. are both steady and mixed this week. While price changes are inconsistent across the board, the average price across the U.S. is up only a penny this week to $2.37. The 27-week average price is $2.64.
The West Coast region again saw the largest gain in gas prices this week. Up 12 cents, gas prices average $2.80 a gallon and are the highest in the country. The Rocky Mountain region's gas prices are up 11 cents, bringing the prices to $2.23. The Rocky Mountain region is tied for the lowest gas prices in the country with the Gulf Coast region.
The Midwest region saw the largest price decreases this week, dropping 4 cents to $2.33.
Washington state saw the largest increase in prices again this week. Gas prices are up another 17 cents in the state to $2.83. Ohio saw the largest decrease in gas prices as they dropped 13 cents to $2.33.
