Average retail gasoline prices in the U.S. dropped two cents this week to $2.72. It is down from last week and the year's high of $2.74. The 27-week average price is now at $2.36. 

Regions were mixed this week. The West Coast saw the largest increase with 5 cents to $3.14. The Midwest had the largest decrease of 5 cents to $2.71. The West Coast continues to have the highest retail prices at $3.14, while the Gulf Coast continues to have the lowest retail price at $2.57.

Ohio had a 12 cent decrease to $2.70. Washington gained 7 cents to $3.16.
