U.S. retail gasoline prices went down 5 cents to $2.56. The 27-week average price is now $2.48. All regions experienced a decrease in price this week.

The Lower Atlantic and Midwest had the largest decrease with 6 cents. The West Coast had the highest retail prices at $3.12. The lowest retail prices are found in the Gulf Coast at $2.38. 

Of the states, Ohio had the largest decrease with 12 cents and had the lowest retail prices at $2.28.
